Microcenter is yet another website that specializes in electronic, mostly computer parts. They don't usually have the best deals around but are a decent place to shop. Sometimes they will have crazy deals with hundreds of dollars off of big ticket items, but these are only available in physical Microcenter stores and often trick customers.

Pros:

• GREAT deals in physical Microcenter locations
• Wide selection of computer parts
• Great customer service

Cons:

• Lackluster deals on website
• Bland and unappealing design
• Very few physical store locations

TigerDirect.com

TigerDirect was a great website that sadly is going out of business. It is a another site that specializes in electronics, so it has a wide selection of them. Since they are going out of business many of their products are on sale for dirt cheap but they are running out fast.

Pros:

• Wide selection of electronics
• Huge going out of business sale

Cons:

• Won't be around for much longer
• A lot of products have already sold out
• Sometimes confusing website

Amazon.com

Amazon is my personal favorite website to buy computer parts and even general items from. They have a decent amount of computer parts to choose from and a very easy to use website layout. They often have some of the lowest prices as well. My favorite thing about Amazon is their extremely worthwhile Amazon Prime service that allows you to get free 2 day shipping on lots of items. There is even a student discount for the service that makes it half off.

Pros:

• Amazon Prime
• Nice and easy to use layout
• Sells other items besides computer parts as well

Cons:

• Since they do not specialize in computer parts they do not have the greatest selection
• Not as frequent sales events as other sites
• Shipping can be expensive without Prime

Newegg.com

Newegg is one of the best websites for ordering all kinds of computer parts. Newegg often has promotional deals for holidays or other events and has some great deals. In addition to having often sales their normal prices are also very competitive.

Pros:

• Competitive prices
• Frequent sales events
• Easily available coupon codes

Cons:

• Only has computer parts and some general electronics
• Not the very lowest prices on the market
• Somewhat known for difficult customer service
